🇻🇪🧀🥑 Beetroot Grilled Halloumi & Avocado Arepa 🧀🥑🇻🇪
La Pepia is a Venezuelan Street Food Kitchen located at Malty Street Market, specialising at making “Arepas”. If you don’t know what Arepas are, it is a grilled or fried Corn Bun (originally from Venezuela) that can be loaded with meats, cheese and vegetables👌🏽🇻🇪
They have created many varieties of Arepas by adding natural extracts of Spinach, Carrot and Beetroot!
With that being said, I decided to be adventurous and try out the beetroot Arepas – with this being my first time trying an Arepas👀 it did take quite a long time but the demand for the food last week was incredible!
My Halloumi Arepa was delicious! The Coco Bun was soft, but crispy around the edges! Although it’s only extract of Beetroot added to the bun, it did remind me of an actual beetroot whilst eating – and I love beetroot 😍
The combination of the hot grilled Halloumi & the Avocado does complemented each other so excellent filling choice 🤤
